Mark Trammell is an attorney with the Liberty Center for Law and Policy (LCLP), a partnership between Liberty Counsel and Liberty University School of Law. In his role as Legal Director, Mark seeks to advance religious freedom, the sanctity of human life, the family, limited and responsible government, and support for Israel by working with elected officials on both the federal and state levels. In addition to his legislative efforts, Mark mentors both undergraduate and law students through the LCLP internship program.

Mark also serves as Director of Public Policy for Liberty Counsel Action (LCA). In his role at LCA, Mark analyzes and monitors legislation and regularly discusses legislation with elected officials from both the House of Representatives and the Senate, encouraging them to cast values-based votes. He also coordinates coalition efforts and routinely publishes on the LCA blog.

Mark began his career in law as an administrative law clerk at a large firm in Tennessee, while he completed his Bachelor of Science in Political Science at Union University. After completing his BS, Mark attended Liberty University School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 2012. During law school, Mark gained Capitol Hill experience as a summer intern for Congressman Roscoe Bartlett of the 6th District of Maryland. After graduating from law school, Mark served as a law clerk for the State Attorney’s Office in Frederick County, Maryland. Mark is licensed to practice law in the state of Maryland.
