The Multistate Bar Exam Laboratory (MBE Lab)

The goal is to designate a specific room in the library as an MBE Lab. This will allow students to come in their own free time to take simulated MBE tests to hone their test taking skills. This is entirely voluntary.

III.     Pre-bar prep overview of MBE subjects

For a general review of most subjects covered by MBE, the Law Library has a collection of audio resources providing students with a concise introduction to those subjects. A couple of cautions:

         a.    These resources do not and CANNOT replace bar prep program.
         b.    These resources are designed to help students refresh their
memories about subjects previously studied; and,
         c.    Provide an overview for subjects not studied or well understood
previously (the usual culprits here are some aspects of Contracts,
                Evidence, and Property law).

The proper time to do such revision is at the discretion of the students.

V.    Registering for the bar preparatory program.

We have no recommendations in this context. However, there are some points to keep in mind given the number of service providers:

         a.    Auditory learners should not register for a bar prep program
that is a purely self-study program without an accompanying
                audio / visual lecture; and,
         b.    Students who need help managing their time should register
for a bar prep program with deadlines to complete specific
components of the preparatory course of study.
