The Liberty Center for Law and Policy is a partnership between Liberty Counsel and Liberty University School of law. The joint venture has been tasked with training the next generation of lawyers and world leaders interested in public policy. The program equips students with critical litigation skills, equips policy makers with legal research and support, and provides world leaders with tactical support through comprehensive strategic planning.
The Center trains law students who have career plans in public interest advocacy and policy. The Center also provides externship throughout the year and summer externship opportunities in Washington, D.C. Students who participate in the externship program work side by side with the legal director and have regular contact with state and federal legislators as well as national policy organizations.
Participating students track legislation that will have an impact on the family , the sanctity of human life, religious freedom, liberty, national security and other domestic issues. The students will also have an opportunity to meet with Congressional representatives and staff and observe House and Senate proceedings.
