Dean Welcomes Largest Class Ever

August 20, 2008

Mathew D. Staver, Dean of Liberty University School of Law, welcomed the Class of 2011 to campus on Tuesday, August 12. He introduced members of the faculty and administration and presented the school’s educational philosophy and mission-driven, practice-oriented focus.

About 110 new students were expected for fall 2008 — the largest-ever entering class. The school has seen a 100 percent increase in enrollment since its inception five years ago.

Dean Staver commented on the increase: “This new class has become the largest single class in the law school’s history. On paper and in person this is a special class of men and women who are mission-driven. All of us at the law school are excited to begin this new year.”
