FIREPROOF Hits Theaters

September 25, 2008

A highly anticipated film hits theaters tomorrow. “Fireproof” is a faith-based drama starring Kirk Cameron as Captain Caleb Holt, a man who wrestles with an intense job and a failing marriage.

Serving as extras during the production of “Fireproof” were Mathew Staver, Dean of Liberty University School of Law, and his wife Anita, President of Liberty Counsel. The movie features more than 1,000 volunteers from Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Ga., where it was filmed.

Last spring, select students, faculty, and university leaders were invited to Liberty University School of Law for a special screening of the new film. Marc Harper, who works with the marketing of the film, led the screening and was on hand to share his experiences with promoting a faith-based film to a secular market. He also offered the audience a chance to respond to the film and provide feedback.
