Second Amendment Symposium Scheduled for Nov. 1

Liberty University Law Review will host a symposium on the Second Amendment on Nov. 1.

The event, entitled “Under Fire: The right to keep and bear arms,” kicks off at 2:15 p.m. in the Supreme Courtroom, with speakers slated to discuss various issues regarding the Second Amendment.

Herbert Titus, author of “God, Man & Law: The Biblical Principles,” will speak from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on the topic “The Second Amendment: Ruled by Law or by Judges?”

Following Titus’ presentation, The Honorable Ken Blackwell, a visiting law professor at Liberty University School of Law, and Ken Klukowski, both of whom co-authored the book “Resurgent: How Constitutional Conservatism Can Save America,” will speak.

Their presentation, titled “American’s Two First Freedoms: How the Second Amendment Protects the First,” will run from 3:40 p.m. until 5 p.m.

A reception will follow, with refreshments served in the Mountain View Room.
