More on the Appellate Advocacy Area of Study

“Appellate advocacy is an art form that requires an attorney to persuasively bring a legal issue to life through the written and spoken word. Our rigorous Lawyering Skills program instills in students the foundational skills to become an effective advocate and provides advanced opportunities to hone those skills.”
— Professor Rena M. Lindevaldsen

“The professors are amazing and always make time to answer your questions. With the honest critique of my professors on each brief that I have drafted, my writing has improved substantially.”
— Erika Lukenbill, ’16

“Liberty University School of Law’s training for those wishing to have an appellate practice is second to none. The level of training and actual, practical experience you receive at the law school is remarkable. Indeed, from the very first year, you are acclimated into what appellate advocacy looks like by being part of the 1L moot court tournament.”
— Daniel Schmid ‘12
