History

In 2009 LBN, formerly known as Liberty Broadcasting Network, the Center for Media Productions and the Flames Sports Network were all merged into the Center for Advanced Media Productions or CAMP. (CAMP) is the official Video Production department for Liberty University.

Description

CAMP is comprised of nearly twenty highly skilled veterans of the broadcast and video production business. Many individuals on the CAMP team have over 30 years experience including positions with: ABC, NBC, CBS, ESPN, FOX, MASN, and the DISCOVERY Channel.

This is a talented and devoted group of award winning Christian professionals that not only write, produce, direct, and edit: training, recruitment, information, promotional, testimonials, instructional, streaming and marketing videos for Liberty in addition they produce and execute numerous live and recorded events such as: Jonathan Falwell Live at Thomas Road, Liberty Convocations, Winterfest, Teleconferences, Major Network Uplinks, Coffee House, the Virginia Christmas Spectacular, July 4th Celebration, Baccalaureate, Men & Women’s conferences, and Commencement and University sporting events including: Football, Basketball, Ice Hockey, Wrestling, Baseball, Volleyball, Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field, Cross Country, Men & Women’s Soccer, Softball, Men’s Golf, Men & Women’s Tennis and soon to come SnowFlex are also produced and executed by CAMP.

In addition to video production services CAMP also has an engineering wing responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of the University’s numerous broadcast facilities that include WRVL radio, WTLU Television, studio transmitter links and other associated transmitters and terminal equipment related to those ongoing operations

Goal

The overall goal of CAMP is to provide essential video services to the university and support the primary mission of Liberty University in Training Champions for Christ.

CAMP endeavors to execute that mission by collaborating with the Department of Communications and the many other schools within the university to provide services, training and mentoring through various practicum classes, and other student training opportunities.

CAMP Services:

Live broadcasts, remote broadcasts, teleconferencing, live streaming, single and multiple camera remote recording: promotional, training, educational, image, dramatic, documentary, commercial, event and corporate video creation.
