FAQ's about Faculty Document Delivery

Who can use this service?

The Document Delivery Service from the A. Pierre Guillermin Library is available to all faculty members of Liberty University.

What type of documents will be delivered?

Books or articles owned by Liberty University and any materials ordered through Interlibrary Loan will be delivered.

When will these materials be delivered?

Delivery will begin at 3:00 PM each day. Materials requested and received by 10:00 AM on business days will be delivered that same day.

Is there a limit to the number of materials?

You are allowed to check out a total of 50 Liberty University-owned books at any one time. (This includes those delivered or picked up personally while in the library.) For articles and materials obtained through Interlibrary Loan, there is no limit at this time.

Where will these materials be delivered?

The materials will be delivered to each department's secretary. The worker who delivers the materials will have a list of each item. The secretary will sign for them and then assume responsibility for the materials.

How will I know when materials are coming?

There will be an email sent out to each faculty member notifying him/her of the pending delivery of materials to his/her secretary.

Are there any charges with this service?

There may be some charges when ordering from another school through Interlibrary Loan, but notification of these charges will be sent via email (will not order until have your permission). Items will be ordered for those willing to pay (personally or through the department).
