Although our library has thousands of eBooks and journal articles available online, many of our Bible commentaries are not online because their publishers have not made them available as eBooks yet.
Below are options for obtaining Bible commentaries.
Borrow print copies from Liberty's library and have them shipped to you:
Search our "LUCAS" library catalog to see if the commentaries you need are available to be borrowed in hard copy from us. The "Location" listed for a book in LUCAS will show if it is available in "Electronic" format or not. Any book listed as “Available” and that is not listed as being on reserve or in the reference collection, should be available to be borrowed.
Use our ILLiad system to request books for borrowing. We will ship them to you via FedEx. It takes around 3 or 4 working days for them to arrive. Our shipping policies are here.
Blue Letter Bible:
There are some commentaries available online at the Blue Letter Bible site.
WorldCat:
Search the WorldCat database to see if any libraries near you have the commentaries you need.
Google Books:
Google Books is a massive library of scanned books. "Preview" access is offered to substantial portions of many books there. And, books in the public domain there may be fully accessed and downloaded. You might be able to partially or fully access the commentaries you need there.
