IT Development and Engineering

The Office of Information Technology Development & Engineering is committed to the mission of Liberty University, helping in academic and logistical endeavors. The Development and Engineering Department is made up of the following elements:

Project Management
Our project managers specialize in coordinating complex IT projects that span many organizational departments. Once a project is approved, they move in to ensure that from start to finish, the project meets the needs of all involved and brings real value to the University.

Applications Development
Our application developers provide more than just programming skill.  They also  offer valuable insight into your business processes. Their responsibilities include the tools that build the University website, the Banner implementation, and the integration of all University systems.

Verification and Testing
Our testers assess the quality of all systems before they are deployed to our users, whether they are software programs, new servers, or desktop software. They work along with Application Development and Project Management to ensure and maintain a superior IT experience.

Network Engineering
Our senior network engineer is responsible for architecture and standards of the entire University network. The engineers concentrate on building a highly available network that meets the increasing demands the University community places on it.
