Dr. Larry Anderson teaches courses in Marriage and Family, in Theories of Counseling and Psychotherapy and in Group Dynamics. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Azusa Pacific University where he played football and baseball. He received his M.Ed. in Counseling from the University of North Texas and a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. His Ph.D. is from the University of North Texas in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Counseling. After finishing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Anderson served on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ for five years. He later worked as a counseling therapist in private practice. He has served as a pastor of Christian Education at an evangelical church in Grand Junction, Colo., and he was an administrator at the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C. In 1988, he and his wife Nancy came to Liberty University to become professors of Psychology. Larry and Nancy are avid Flames fans and enjoy taking morning walks in the beautiful area where they live.
