Family Policy Network is a national pro-family organization established to educate Christians and confront the culture on the important moral issues of the day. Liberty students may volunteer for FPN by performing volunteer activities like making phone calls, doing research, and performing other clerical tasks for two hours, one day each week. Government, business, communication and ministry majors may especially benefit from this Christian service, but only one or two students may be accepted per semester. CSER 531-001: LIBERTY COUNSEL MEDIA RELATIONS

Liberty Counsel is a ministry affiliated with Liberty University and located in Green Hall. Liberty Counsel's media department seeks students with a passion for promoting religious freedom, the sanctity of human life and family values. We need people who are articulate, witty, good spellers, writers and who will help promote positive information online about our organization. Media research will be required. Additionally you will be promoting the organization of Liberty Counsel by networking with other organizations. If accepted to join Liberty Counsel for your CSER, 40 hours per semester is required.

Liberty Counsel is a ministry affiliated with Liberty University and located on Campus North. Liberty Counsel's media department seeks students for online public relations activities. Successful applicants will be positive, witty students with excellent writing, spelling, and computer skills who want to use their skills to promote their university. If accepted for this CSER position, 40 hours per semester is required.

Circle K is sponsored by Kiwanis International. The emphases of the organization are community service and leadership development. Students participating in Circle K for Christian/Community Service at Liberty will help plan and participate in various community service projects. Admission to Circle K is through application only. For information, contact Dr. Lew Weider at ext. 2325. Annual dues of $5 per member are required.

CSER 555-001: CONCERNED WOMEN FOR AMERICA

Students will have the opportunity to actively participate in Liberty University's Prayer/ Action Chapter of Concerned Women for America. Our mission is to protect and promote biblical values among all citizens - first through prayer, then education, and finally by influencing our society - thereby reversing the decline in moral values in our nation. Students will interact with Liberty students to keep them informed and involved through written and verbal correspondence. As projects arise, students may make phone calls, research Virginia legislation, write articles for the State web page and help with mailings. Students will help prepare for, promote and attend bi-monthly meetings, and yearly trips to Richmond or Washington, D.C.

The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy and service. Volunteers for programs and/or administrative efforts are always needed to help with mailings, providing services to cancer patients and their families, etc. The Lynchburg office is open M-F from 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Please contact (434) 845-0973 for more information about volunteer opportunities.
