This is an in-depth Christian/Community Service training program to prepare the student for future service to Christ by providing the following types of opportunities:
Training in ministering to children to prepare the student for a career in education or a ministry in a local church.
Training in parenting as practical skills and attitudes are developed.
Experience in the management of resources towards the accomplishment of a desired goal. This will benefit the business student as well as anyone who would be managing resources in the future.
Experience in working with people of all ages. This valuable experience will be accumulated under the direction of professionals with a rich background to share with the student.
The student will choose one of the following areas of specialization. For the entire academic year, the student will have a regular position of service in this area. He will be required to attend the various training and planning meetings as well as the weekly program where he ministers.
CSER 201-001: NURSERY

The Nursery as Thomas Road offers a wonderful ministry to babies (and their parents) birth- 30 months of age.
CSER opportunities are offered for Liberty students during all church services. Starting with 9:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings; Sunday nights from 5:45-7:30 p.m.; and on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Students are expected to work their 20 hours each semester. If you are unfamiliar with babies we will be glad to train you. Students will learn church nursery organization, loving and caring for tiny babies, and how to teach toddlers.
REQUIREMENTS: If you choose to sign up for Sunday morning, you may choose 9:15 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. services. If you sign up for Wednesday night, you will not be allowed to take a Wednesday night class.
Infant 1 - Birth to 3 months old
Infant 2 - 4 to 9 months old
Toddler 1 - 10 to 13 months old
Toddler 2 - 14 to 18 months old
Toddler 3 - 19 to 24 months old
Students may also serve with TRBC MOPS. MOPS are for Birth to Age 5. Please contact Anna Cunningham if your are interested in volunteering with MOPS.

CSER 202- 001: PRE-SCHOOL

You will have the experiences of examining the curriculum used with little ones, working with pre-session learning centers, storytelling, learning reinforcement procedures and lesson planning. Special talents in art and music can be expanded by learning how they can be used with Pre-School.

CSER 213-001: PRIMARIES

Primary children's ministries (first through third grades, including IKIDS) is committed to the purpose of seeing children receive the finest in Christian education. The many programs and activities in the primary Division seek to capture the interest and attention of the child so that he will listen, learn, and apply the Christian principles to his own life.
Christian/Community Service students receive training as they observe the application of these techniques and as they take part themselves. Students will also utilize specialized abilities in music, puppetry, audiovisuals, and crafts, in addition to developing small and large group ministry skills.
The minimum requirement for this Christian/Community Service is the weekly service and teachers training meeting.
Area 1 - Sunday School
The student will be assigned a specific class in which to work. He will help a lead teacher with crafts, song time, Bible verse, as well as work with a small group of children throughout the morning.
Area 2 - Kids Worship Hour
The student will work with a specific group of children with songs, Bible verses, crafts, puppets, and review activities.
Area 3 - Wednesday Night - World Missions
An exciting Wednesday night program where we introduce the children to missionaries from long ago as well as many that our church supports today.
Area 4 - AWANA - Sparks
AWANA is an exciting ministry program which encourages spiritual growth in young people through Bible memorization, stories, sports competition, and merit work. Students signed up for this assignment will assist in every aspect of the program.
Every Sunday evening.
Area 5 - Ikids
The student will be assigned to a specific special needs child during one service time. This ministry is available Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
Area 6 - Special Events
The student will be assigned to help with special events such as Kid's Karnival and VBS.
Area 7 - Office
The student will help in the office during the week with needed preparation for our different children services.

CSER 214-001: JUNIORS

This ministry reaches kids in grades 4 - 5. The student will have the opportunity to work in several discipleship programs provided throughout the week.
Area 1 - Sunday School
The student will be assigned to a Sunday School class and help the lead teacher with Bible verses, activities, and special projects.
Area 2 - Junior Worship Hour
Come join in on one of the most exciting worship hours around. Great music. wonderful games, exciting stories, and plenty of opportunities to disciple the junior age kid.
Area 3 - Wednesday Night Discipleship Program
The student will be assigned a team of kids to lead through a planned discipleship program.

Coaches and referees are needed to help with the many different sports that we offer. Dates and times varies according to the sport season.
