Supervisor: Toy Hine (434-592-4279 or Email)
These ministries are committed to the purpose of seeing children receive the finest in Christian education. The many programs and activities in the primary Division seek to capture the interest and attention of the child so that he will listen, learn, and apply the Christian principles to his own life.

Christian/Community Service students receive training as they observe the application of these techniques and as they take part themselves. Students will also utilize specialized abilities in music, puppetry, audiovisuals, and crafts, in addition to developing small and large group ministry skills.

The minimum requirement for this Christian/Community Service is the weekly service and teachers training meeting.

iKids:
The student will be assigned to a specific special needs child during one service time. This ministry is available Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

Special Events:
The student will be assigned to help with special events such as Kid's Karnival and VBS.

Office:
The student will help in the office during the week with needed preparation for our different children services.

The Elementary Ministries are passionate about God and kids!  It is our desire that every child discover that God created and loves them, and He wants to have a personal relationship with them. We facilitate this discovery and learning on Sundays and Wednesdays in small group and large group settings.

CSER students will receive hands-on training as they serve in one of our areas. A benefit to them is they will find their relationship with God growing deeper as a result of serving and pouring into the lives of kids!

Minimum requirement for service in this ministry are weekly services and quarterly leader trainings.

1) Sunday Morning Small Groups (requires a Fall and Spring commitment)
Kid Central: 1st – 3rd grades
Route 45: 4 - 5th grades
8:45-10:45am

Small Groups are grade specific. Group Leaders build relationships with the same kids each week and prepare and engage kids with a Bible lesson, application activities, Scripture and prayer.

2) Sunday Morning Large Group (requires a Fall and Spring commitment)
Kid Central: 1st – 3rd grades
Route 45: 4 - 5th grades
10:30am-12:30pm

Group Leaders will connect with kids relationally and go with them to the high energy large group environment where we sing songs, listen to a Bible lesson and have group time and prayer. They can also assist with set up/tear down, welcome team, praise team, storytelling and more!

3) Wednesday Evening (requires a Fall and Spring commitment)
Awana Sparks and T&T: K – 5th grades
5:45-7:45pm

This program disciples kids mid-week by having children dig into God’s Word and memorize His truths. We have large group lesson time, small group section time and a game time.

4) The Good News Club is an exciting, fun-filled hour once a week.  It includes a dynamic Bible lesson, creative learning activities, meaningful songs, and life-changing scripture memory. We are looking for students who have a desire to see children reached with the Gospel. We need teachers to present the Bible lesson and memory verse. We need teacher assistants who would be responsible in leading songs and possibly a few games. We need counselors who would talk with children who respond to the invitation during club.
