The purpose of the Center for Music & Worship is to train and equip highly skilled musicians to serve as worship practitioners and industry specialists in the evangelical community. This mission is realized through curricula development, local church ministry, publishing and recording, artist development, and empirical research.
The bachelor's degrees (both B.M. and B.S.) provide students with a choice of concentrated studies. The M.A. in Music and Worship, M.A. in Worship Studies, M.A. in Music Education, M.A. in Ethnomusicology, and the Doctor of Worship Studies offer practical alternatives to traditional education.
Center for Music & Worship professors serve as mentors to their students and instill superb musicianship and a commitment to excellence. Additionally, an impressive roster of partner faculty prepares men and women in the School of Music to lead and teach worship with passion, conviction, and focus. Students grow by learning under seasoned professionals who draw from life experience.
Around the world, people are seeking God. They hunger to know His power, His redemption, and the presence of the Holy Spirit.
The Center for Music & Worship provides opportunities for training and leading God's people in worship. It brings worship practitioners together from across the country to create an exciting environment in which issues related to worship are discussed and addressed.
The size and scope of our program allows students access to internships with a variety of churches, pastors, worship leaders, Christian music industry professionals, publishers, missionary organizations, and other institutions of higher learning that are committed to the evangelical tradition.
