OATS Wireless Research Lab
OATS Wireless Research Chamber
The Wireless Research Lab, located on the campus of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., is a unique asset because of its contribution to local economic growth and support to the wireless industry cluster.
The lab offers research, development, pre-compliance and certification testing, as well as access to world class expertise through multiple affiliations.
Benefits:
The non-metallic building provides an indoor facility that is invisible to electro-magnetic emissions. This allows for testing to be conducted 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, regardless of weather. The facility includes high speed internet access, a three-meter and 30-meter antenna, 50 Hz and 60 Hz power supplies, and a large indoor bay. These features allow for a broad range of equipment to be tested, as well as access to remote testing, viewing, and conferencing.
Because of its location in Virginia’s Region 2000, the lab offers a diversity of geographic test settings which include mountains, plains, valleys, small towns, and rural areas.
Specific Testing Capabilities:
- Radiated Emissions
- Receiver conducted emissions
- Transmitter radiated emissions
- Transmitted conducted emissions
- AC/DC line conducted emissions
- Antenna pattern measurements
- Custom R&D RF/EMC testing
- EMC problem mitigation
