Focus of our Thanks

Sometimes we have to stop and remind ourselves to be thankful for Christ and his sufficient work on the cross.  We have to occasionally stop and remind ourselves of His love and commitment to us.

As busy people, we get caught up in the football games, the turkey dinner, the family gatherings, the kids, the running around, the shopping, etc.  It is difficult to just find time to say “Thanks” to our Savior.

Consider placing a notebook and pen next to your bed for the express purpose of thanking Jesus Christ daily.  Each night, write down something you are thankful for and include a reason.  For instance: I am thankful that Jesus saved me:

  • I Timothy 1:15 says, “Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.”
  • John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes on Him would not perish, but have everlasting life."

Start tonight and let us be deliberate in our thanks.

God bless.
