Deliberate Encouragement
Are you deliberately encouraging others? An Online Community should make an effort to build others up.
Check this out:
“He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:10-11
In Deuteronomy 1:37-39, Moses is given instructions to encourage Joshua. In Acts 15:32, we see Paul and Silas taking time to intentionally encourage the Believers.
Ephesians 4:29 says, “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”
We have a responsibility to build others up.
Just like planning a family trip, we should strategize on who we will encourage this week. Perhaps:
- Write the overdue note to a family member.
- Send a thank-you card to your pastor or church volunteer.
- Rake your neighbor’s leaves and leave a note that just says, “Thanks for being a great neighbor!”
- Take a plate of cookies to your kid’s teachers with a note that reminds them of Jesus’ love.

God bless.
