Wednesday, January 16, 2013 This is the start of something new

Mark it down. Make it known! It's my last semester! Saying it actually makes "the big day" more real than anything. Yes indeed, every day up until May 11 will be my last days in the city of Lynchburg, Va. and at this wonderful school. With every thing that's in me, I am entirely too excited to start a new chapter in my life -- To get that 8-5 job and to reconnect with church ministry at home. BUT, it's the moments in-between now and then that will never happen again. As I walked into my apartment on Saturday, my mind could only flash back on everything that has happened in the last 2 1/2 years. The first dorm room. The days of ultimate Frisbee on the intramural fields. Laying on a blanket in the spring-filled sun when I probably should've been studying. Finding new friends and saying goodbye to old ones. It all came back.

But enough about the memories and mushy-ness. This semester hasn't even begun yet, and I'm getting all sentimental. Nonsense. Five weeks ago, I was walking into my house ready to watch TV and hang out with friends and drink hot chocolate and..just relax. Where did my break go? The truth is...It was my last ever real break. Pretty much ever. So, I tried to really enjoy it.

First week home, and I was off the midnight premiere of the Hobbit. So good!

Spending time those I love - i.e.. the Thor man

I wish I had more pictures to share, but home life just gets so comfy and busy and...awesome, and I forget these things :( Needless to say, with all of Arkansas' wonderful-ness along with Passion 2013 (College-age conference), my heart is full. Last semester here I come! And as High School Musical would say - "This is the start of something new..." Oh amen.

Also, if you have no idea what Passion is or what happened, this next video might confuse you...BUT to those who went...enjoy:
