Liberty University Symphony Orchestra

The Liberty University Symphony Orchestra (LUSO) is an auditioned instrumental ensemble consisting of string, winds and percussion instrumentalists. The ensemble performs standard orchestral repertoire drawn from all periods of music.

The LUSO is the premier instrumental symphony group on campus, which performs concerts both on and off campus in the Spring and Fall semesters. One tour in the Fall and one tour in the Spring encompass the schedule of this exciting ensemble. The LUSO aims to prepare excellent performers for a career with the major symphony orchestras in the United States.

Auditions are held at the beginning of each semester.  The one credit hour course (MUSC 185/485) is open to both music majors and non-majors for credit or CSER. To audition, contact Dr. John Kinchen.
