Message from the Associate Dean for Academics

Ernie Rogers, Capt USN (ret)

It seems like yesterday, while I was growing up in Gallup, New Mexico, that I felt the calling to become a pilot. Several years later after graduating from college, I began my aviation career in Pensacola, Florida at the Naval Aviation Training Command.

When I earned my Naval Aviator Wings, it was stressed that you should someday repay your flight instructors by training new prospective pilots. After eight years in the Fleet, I got the opportunity to instruct in the Navy Primary Flight Training School. I considered it a privilege to make an impact on those student pilots' lives.

Now after 27 years in the Navy, God has allowed me to do it again, but this time in a Christian environment at Liberty University. It is an awesome privilege and responsibility to again mentor and train student pilots to become professional aviators and Champions for Christ!

Our senior staff has over 180 years of flight experience in all areas of the industry and we are committed to train the next generation of missionary, commercial and military pilots in an environment where they will grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

Come join us at Liberty University where God's forecast for you will be clear skies and unlimited visibility.

Ernie Rogers
