Stay on campus while experiencing benefits of off-campus living. In the Independent & Graduate Housing community, you can remain close to your classes as well as campus dining and recreational facilities while enjoying some of the freedoms of living off-campus.
For the 2019-2020 academic year*, the Office of Residence Life is making these residence halls available to qualifying upperclassmen and graduate students.
Fall 2019 Applications:
All rooms will be set up like other halls on East Campus, including all amenities of a standard East Campus residence hall:
To qualify, you must either be:
Points: You must have less than 15 points accumulated over the course of the previous academic year; you must also not exceed 15 points during the course of the current academic year (doing so may lead to a required move to another residence hall or off campus).
Space is very limited. Residence Life will make the final decisions as to which of the qualified applicants will be approved or denied acceptance. Pricing will be consistent with other halls on East Campus (no additional fees or higher rates) and will continue to be managed through your ASIST account and Financial Check-In.
Each Independent & Graduate Housing building will have two Resident Assistants and a team of Resident Shepherds (RS) and Community Group Leaders (CGL).
Roommate requests may be indicated on the application. Although there are no guarantees, we will do our best to fulfill each request, provided both applicants included in the request are approved for the program.
You will still be required to purchase an on-campus meal plan.
CFAW guests will not be hosted within the Independent & Graduate Housing buildings unless specifically requested.
If you want to stay on campus during the summer, you will be required to move to Summer Housing.
