Deadlines for Course Changes

Requesting Course Changes

***If you are working on a NEW development (new course), you will be contacted directly by your Instructional Designers. Please do not follow the steps below.***

As a Subject Matter Expert, you may want to make changes to your course for a variety of reasons. The process to accomplish this is outlined below. 

PLEASE NOTE: This process requires you to submit two  Service Now Help Tickets. The first Service Now Help Ticket notifies CAD that you would like to make changes to your course, and the second Service Now Help Ticket verifies that the course changes have been completed.

Subject Matter Experts, please follow these simple steps to request course changes:

  1. Complete the SME, Course, and Effective Sub-Term fields, as well as Section 1: Intended Changes in the Course Changes Form.
  2. Submit a Service Now Help Ticket (Select Blackboard Course Content Update within Service Now). In the What is your Course ID? field of your Service Now Help Ticket, type "Course Changes Request - COURSE ID." In the Describe Your Problem field, insert the following verbiage: 
    I am the SME for COURSE ID. I would like to make changes to my course. I have outlined these changes in the attached Course Changes Form. I have received approval for these course changes from my leadership. If there are any questions or concerns, I have provided my contact information within the Course Changes Form. 
    Next, attach the Course Changes Form to the Service Now Help Ticket and click on the Submit Order button.
  3. A personalized plan for the completion of the course changes will be emailed to you by your School's Instructional Designers.
  4. Upon verifying the course changes have been completed, submit your second Service Now Help Ticket (Select Blackboard Course Content Update within Service Now) by the deadlines listed below. In the What is your Course ID? field of your Service Now Help Ticket, type  "Course Changes Completed - COURSE ID." In the Describe Your Problem field, insert the following verbiage: 
    I am the SME for COURSE ID. I have outlined the completed changes in the attached Course Changes Form, Section 2: Completed Changes. If there are any questions or concerns, I have provided my contact information within the Course Changes Form. 
    Next, attach the Course Changes Form to the Service Now Help Ticket and click on the Submit Order button.

    2019 Summer A/B/J: March 4, 2019
    2019 Summer D: April 22, 2019
    2019 Fall A/B/J: June 19, 2019
    2019 Fall D: August 14, 2019
    2020 Spring A/B/J: November 6, 2019
    2020 Spring D: January 8, 2020
    2020 Summer A/B/J: March 4, 2020
    2020 Summer D: April 22, 2020
