ARTOC Fitness

Physical fitness is an important aspect of all you will do in ROTC.
It shows:

  • Your physical fitness level
  • Your unit's physical fitness level
  • Whether you have a physical fitness deficiency
  • Any special needs you may have 

You will be expected to regularly conduct Physical Readiness Training and take the Army Physical Fitness Test which consists of:

  • Push-ups
  • Sit-ups
  • Two-mile run

Cadet Leader Athlete Warrior (CLAW)

The purpose of CLAW is to provide you with education and training that optimizes  your physical and mental development and sustainability as a future leader in the U.S. Army. At the conclusion of your participation in CLAW, you will have developed and implemented self-sustaining systems that:

  • Develop a level of physical performance durability that is at or above what's required to successfully complete your assigned missions
  • Understand nutritional requirements and how to make food choices that will promote your highest performance
  • Understand signs and methods that will prevent overstraining and dehydration
