Commuter Tribes

Commuter Tribes are designed to connect commuter students to a community actively engaged in University life.  Each freshman and transfer commuter is assigned to a Commuter Tribe led by four Commuter Ambassadors, which function to creater a smaller sense of community at our large university.  Ambassadors will communicate with their Tribes on a consistent basis and will plan events and programs that encourage involvement on campus.

  • Commuter Tribes are intentional support networks that seek to build a community among commuter students.
  • Commuter Tribes support positive leadership development and utilize leaders who will mentor commuters as they grow as college students.
  • Commuter Tribes bring students together to serve their peers and the local community.

To request to join a Commuter Tribe, please email Commuter Student Life.
