Dr. Faith Mullen received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Organizational Communication from the University of Nebraska and also recently completed her tenth year as a Professor of Digital Media & Communication Arts at Liberty University.  Additionally, Dr. Mullen happens to be a registered nurse.  She spent several years gaining experience as an administrator in the medical field while she was the Director of Nursing at the Minnequa Medicenter in Pueblo, CO.

Dr. Mullen specializes in Organizational Communication and strives to emphasize the importance of building relationships in the classroom.  "All of the students will know each other's names by the end of the semester," Mullen said.  She believes that the relationships in the classroom are just as important as the course content and that both will be carried out of the classroom and into the real world.  Dr. Mullen describes her teaching style as being extremely interactive. She assigns several group projects and presentations to create a hands-on feel in the classroom and to encourage students to become actively involved in the learning process.

Dr. Mullen also wrote a book with her husband, Dr. William Mullen (Professor of Digital Media & Communication Arts at Liberty University), entitled Teaching Communication Creatively which was published August 2012.  Dr. Mullen and her husband have two children, Billy and Annie.  Billy currently attends the University of Illinois where he is working on his Ph.D. in percussion while Annie studies at Liberty University as a part of the Nursing program.  In her spare time Dr. Mullen enjoys "reading, traveling and quilting...but mostly reading."
