Residential Program

The Bachelor of Music in String Performance degree includes 24 hours of applied music studies, two semesters of conducting, music technology, improvisation studies, and contemporary styles survey. At least 65% of the degree is specifically devoted to music studies on one level or another.

In addition to their core music classes, students participate in courses focused on string techniques, string pedagogy, and string literature. Students are also required to complete a junior and senior recital, as well as an internship.
