Brittany Ayers

Major: Family and Child Development

One Thing: I can do the hoedown throwdown better than Hannah Montana.

Why Student Activities? I love how Student Activities has such a positive impact on our campus and I wanted to be apart of that.  I feel that it brings us all together in a way and creates an environment for people to be themselves and to just have fun.


Sawyer Casey

Hometown: Idaho Falls, Idaho

Major: International Relations: Strategic Intelligence

One Thing: I've lived at least twice in 4 different states: twice in Tennessee, Idaho, Virginia, and South Carolina.

Why Student Activities? Honestly, I just applied and eventually got the job. Now, I like how I get the chance to help provide a getaway for students on campus through events. Especially, I like building stuff for the events.

Major: Pre-Law

One Thing: I love photography!

Why Student Activities? The staff has always seemed to enjoy working and helping people, so when I saw that for the first time I knew that it was something I would like to be a part of.

Hometown: The Dalles, Oregon

Major: Economics

One Thing: "Clayton's Copper" is a breed of butterfly only native to Maine.

Why Student Activities? I chose Student Activities to get involved in our community here at Liberty.

Why Student Activities? I really liked the staff and wanted to be a part of the team!

One Thing: I changed my major to Elementary Education.

Why Student Activities? I get to meet people I never would and I love everything music!

One Thing: Sailing is my favorite sport!

Why Student Activities? I have a passion for putting together, executing, and improving events/activities for my community. As a freshmen, I always thought it would be amazing to be a part of the department which does just that every single week.

One Thing: In junior high I got to ball out during the Warriors half time show.

Why Student Activities? My freshman year I went to all the events and loved it, from then on I wanted to be a part of the crew.

One Thing: "Everything tastes better with ranch" is one of my life mottos.

Why Student Activities? I wanted to work for Student Activities because it looked like so much fun & such great experience for the career I am looking to pursue after college!

One Thing: I have an unhealthy love for all Mexican food. 

Why Student Activities? I'm really outgoing and love to have fun and be with people. So Student Activities is kinda like getting paid for being myself.

Why Student Activities? This department is probably the best on campus. The staff is great, and the events are fun!

Why Student Activities? I wanted the chance to serve the student body at Liberty while hanging out with some of my best friends.

Why Student Activities? I joined Student Activities because I love that they really engage the culture through music, movies, and art. And I thought it looked like the best job ever!

Why Student Activities? Every time I went to an event, the staff was always so lovely! I wanted to be a part of that!

One Thing: I'm half Mexican so I prefer to be called Señorita Diaz.

Why Student Activities? When I went to Coffeehouse for the first time, I knew I wanted to be a part of Student Activities. Who wouldn't want to be a part of the most fun and creative department on campus?

Why Student Activities? I wanted to work at student activities because I love working with people who love to have fun and I also enjoy working events.

Steph Ward

Director

As Director of Student Activities, I oversee the overall calendar and vision of our department from promotion to execution and analysis. I also lead the Student Activities staff, compromised of 20+ full time and student worker employees. 


Brian Shesko

Associate Director

Hometown: Boswell, PA

Degree: B.A. in Religion: Biblical Studies

Favorite Book: The Stench of Honolulu by Jack Handey

As Associate Director, I am responsible for guiding and advising our departmental initiative toward more thoughtful and purposeful engagement of the various forms of entertainment we provide for the students of Liberty University. This includes leading workshops and other trainings for our student worker staff as well as written content such as previews and reviews of many of our events. I also help oversee event analytics that contribute to the University’s assessment for accreditation standards.

 


Kari Moye

Marketing Coordinator

Hometown: Fairfax, VA

Education: B.S. in Communication Studies: Advertising and PR (Minor: Business); M.S. in Marketing - Digital Marketing and Advertising (2017)

Favorite Book: White Oleander

As Marketing Coordinator for Student Activities I oversee the department’s branding and create marketing pieces for all events this includes all print and digital advertisements as well as promotional videos. I also manage the promotional calendar for Student Activities and Outdoor Recreation which includes leading the graphics and video interns.
