Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine (LUCOM) has achieved Provisional Accreditation status from its programmatic accreditor, American Osteopathic Association’s Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (AOA-COCA), granting it permission to recruit and enroll students and offer the educational curriculum that leads to the degree, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.). Liberty University will be eligible to receive full accreditation prior to graduating its first class of students in 2018.
Liberty is recruiting individuals who share its mission and goals of making a difference in the health and lives of patients across the globe through expanding access to quality, state of the art osteopathic medical care, demonstrations of high standards of professionalism, morality and ethics, a goal of the expansion of medical knowledge and who demonstrate the vision, preparation, commitment, humanity, servants heart and philanthropic attitude that can make it possible.
The pursuit of an osteopathic medical degree is not without personal and professional demands. Physicians across the spectrum of medical practices however will assure you that the opportunity to improve the lives of others through the treatment of human pathology, the prevention of disease coupled with the promotion of health and wellness, the positive influence on society and individual lives that a dedicated physician can provide through leadership and service make those demands and sacrifices worthwhile.
