Sport Industry Experience

Dr. Coker has spent many of her 15 years of teaching nutrition in middle school as a volunteer basketball, volleyball, and soccer sponsor. It is her desire to model community and school involvement while emphasizing, not only physical health, but spiritual and mental health, as well.


Personal

Dr. Coker has three grown, happily married daughters and eight grandchildren. After each grandchild turns eight years old, it is her pleasure to take each one on a summer adventure. She and her oldest grandson have traveled to the see the St. Louis Cardinals in St. Louis and the Red Sox in Boston when each team played the Atlanta Braves. This past summer her oldest daughter and two oldest grandchildren spent a week in Paris, France celebrating the four birthdays. Her family members are very involved in their local churches and are raising spiritually grounded families.
