Hitomi Makino is originally from Japan. After receiving Christ as her personal savior through American missionaries in Japan at age 20, she came to the United States, obtained her M. Ed. in Community Counseling at the University of Mississippi in 2001 and her Ph.D. in Professional Counseling at Liberty University in 2010. She has served as an adjunct professor at Liberty University and worked at the American Association of Christian Counselors prior to working at Liberty University as a Student Care officer. Being loved by God and being brought to His presence, Hitomi’s passion is to present students to God, becoming mature in their relationship with Christ (Colossians 1:28).
