We are excited about the members of the Liberty University Marching Band this fall, and their parents and families who support thier sons and daughters while they attend Liberty and perform in our band!  Parents, will you please read this Band Parents letter for information about this fall, our schedule, and Band Parents' Day?

We are excited to offer an excellent means of seeing the Liberty University Marching Band perform by participating in our Annual Band Parents’ Day.  Our twenty-ninth annual Band Parents’ Day is scheduled on Saturday, September 30, 2017, and I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to attend.  This is always one of the highlights of the marching season, and I am inviting all band members’ parents and their families to participate. Your day will be filled with activities that will give you an excellent idea of the varied schedule involved during our typical game days. 

We will begin with check-in at 9:30 a.m., followed by an early Luncheon Banquet in the new Montview Alumni Ball Room at 10:30 a.m.  Then, be ready to personally capture on video our full ensemble field rehearsal at 1:00 p.m. Following our field rehearsal, you will participate in our devotional period with Jonathan Falwell, pastor of Thomas Road Baptist Church. Our time together will focus on the spiritual theme of the season, “After God’s Own Heart: Journey Through Psalms.”   We will then attend the football game in Williams Stadium, where Liberty University will face St. Francis University, and you will have reserved seating with the marching band.

Our past Band Parents’ Days have been a time of renewed fellowship among family members.  Read thoroughly the enclosed materials with the letter, and if you have any further questions, please call (434)582-7363.  Please feel free to dress in casual attire for all the events of the day.

VERY IMPORTANT this year: Band Parents’ Day AND LU College for a Weekend are the same weekend. Please make your hotel reservations now.  Hotel rooms will fill up soon! You can find a current link to Local Accomodations in our area below.

Cost

The cost for the entire day’s activities on Saturday is $32.00 for each adult, $19.00 for youth ages 6-18, and free for children to age 5. The Band Parents' Day ticket includes continental breakfast, luncheon banquet, packet for the day, memorbilia, and football game admission.  (Please note that Band Parents' Day admission is not LU Family Day held at a later date in the fall.)  LU Band members who are planning to attend the banquet will be charged $19.00.  Final Band Parents' Day tickets must be purchased by August 30.  If you have any questions, please contact the band office .
