Dave Young

Hometown: Hanover Courthouse, Virginia

Current Aviation Ratings: ATP, ME, SEL, CFII, MEI.

Education:

Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration, Virginia Tech;

Masters Degree in Business Management, Central Michigan.

Prior military experience: USAF – 29 Years.

Aviation History: I began flying in the Civil Air Patrol as a teenager. I then received my formal pilot training in the USAF and have been flying military and civilian aircraft for 44 years. I have also been a flight instructor for 42 years.

Bruce Barnhart

Aviation History: After graduation from PBC I worked as a mechanic in Binghamton, NY for almost a year. I then came back to PBC to flight instruct for 2 and 1/2 years.  Following that, my wife Karen, and I spent 15 years with Missionary Aviation Fellowship.  This included service in Ecuador, SA, Russia, and Kazakhstan.  I am currently in my fifth year with LUSOA as an instructor and check airman.

Aviation History: I began flying in 1996 at a local high school that had a magnet program.  I received my Private pilot certificate in 1999.  I trained at LeTourneau University and received my tailwheel endorsement and multi-engine private rating.  Between 2001 and 2004 took some time off of flying to work, and finished my training with Instrument, Commercial, and CFI ratings at Liberty University.
