Robert came to Liberty from Shenandoah Baptist Church in Roanoke, Virginia where he served as Senior Pastor. Prior to that, he practiced law in Roanoke for nine years. Robert’s passion and calling is to influence and impact students who are facing pivotal decisions in life. As Dean of Students he employs the gifts developed in years of pastoring and practicing law to oversee the offices of Campus Pastors, Student Conduct, Student Counseling Services, and Commuter Services. Robert thoroughly enjoys personally connecting with and investing time in students.
Robert was married to Anne in 1988 and they have two children – a married daughter, Amelia (Liberty BSN 2014), and Andrew (Liberty 2018). In his spare time Robert enjoys spending time with family, reading, and golf.
Robert holds a B.S. in Finance and Political Science from Liberty University (1985), a Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law (1989), and a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (1998).
