Library Services - Alumni

Alumni can request a complimentary Community Library Card, used to borrow materials from the library. The number of items, circulation period, renewal limits, and fines are found in the Circulation Policy.

You can view the status of checked out items by logging in to the JFL Catalog using your Community Card number and Last Name.


Access to Electronic Databases

The Library has partnered with Alumni Relations to create a collection of searchable databases that meet the research needs of recent Alumni.

These databases may be accessed off-campus by Liberty alumni for personal, non-commercial use. Use of these resources for commercial gain is not permitted.

  • Project Muse
    Humanities and social sciences journals from many scholarly publishers in 100% full text.
  • Academic Search (Alumni Edition)
    Full text journal articles in the social sciences, humanities, multi-cultural studies, education, and more.
  • ATLASerials & Religion Collection
    Major religious and theology journals in full text. Includes journal articles, essays in multi-author works, book reviews and more. (1949 - current)
  • Business Source (Alumni Edition)
    Scholarly business journals covering management, economics, finance, accounting, international business and much more. Full text, updated on a daily basis.
  • ProQuest Education Journals
    Over 790 top educational publications, including more than 615 of the titles in full text.
  • ProQuest Psychology Journals
    Abstracts and indexing for more than 640 titles, with over 540 available in full text. Includes charts, tables, photos, and other graphic elements. Also includes full text dissertations. Dissertations: (2000 - 2005)
  • ProQuest Religion (Alumni Access)
    Religious issues and perspectives, almost all items available in full text. (1986 - current)

Access to resources may be restricted for up to 9 months following date of Graduation. If you experience difficulties accessing any of these resources, please contact Alumni Relations for support.
