The 2012/13 Flight Team

Since 2002, Liberty University's School of Aeronautics has taken part in regional and national NIFA competitions. The flight team has won their regional competition (Region X) for the last six years and they strive to continue this winning streak.                                                     

This year the team will be using one of our Cessna 172 aircraft equipped with the G1000 glass cockpit for the flying events. This years regional competition which will be hosted at Elizabeth City State University, NC and will take place from 11th - 14th October, 2012.



Kyle Dillon & Charity Holland

Team Coaches

This years NIFA Team coaches are Kyle Dillon and Charity Holland. They have been working extremely hard to maintain the high standard of airmanship that we have displayed over the last number of years at the competition. They will be leading the team for each of the flight and ground events at the upcoming regional competition.

 

Flight Team Advisor

Mr. John Marselus is the Associate Dean of Flight Operations for the School of Aeronautics. He is also the NIFA Flight Team Advisor and he will be accompanying the team to the competitions to provide support for all the Flight and Ground events. This year he will be the NIFA Safety Officer for the regional competition and it is his responsibility for overseeing of any mishap or crisis response.
