Canadian Student Orientation

Important Information Concerning Your Arrival at Liberty University:

Students living in campus housing can arrive on campus on Wednesday August 13, 2014 beginning at 6pm and report directly to your campus housing.

The Lynchburg Regional Airport is the preferred destination for students who fly.


Early Arrivals

Students should plan to arrive no earlier than Wednesday August 13, 2014.

Students who must arrive prior to August 13, 2014 may stay in campus housing at a cost of $15/day (with approval from housing@liberty.edu), however no regular food service is available until Thursday lunch, August 14, 2014. (Meals are at your own expense) Local restaurants are also available for students to pay and eat at.

Check-in

  • Time: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Location: International Student Center (DeMoss Hall Rm 2003) Look for signs 

Tour of Campus

  • Tour of the Jerry Falwell Library- Meet at the International Student Center (Demoss 2003) 8:15 a.m.
  • Tour of Liberty's Campus: Meet at the International Student Center (Demoss 2003) 9:15 a.m.

Indoor Soccer

  • 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Meet at the Thomas Indoor Soccer Center

Welcome Dinner for all new students to Liberty as well as transfer students.

  • Location:  DeMoss Hall, Grand Lobby
  • Time: 5:30pm

International Orientation Session (Mandatory)

  • Orientation: Grand Lobby of Demoss Hall
  • Time:  7:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
  • Required Items: Travel documents (Passport, stamped I-20, I-94 received at port of entry)

  • Contact phone numbers for your Admissions Counselor and Pick-up Coordinator (if arriving by plane, train, or bus).  

Medical Records

All immunizations and tests indicated on the Online Health Form must be completed prior to arrival on campus. Students without an approved health form and the required immunizations and tests may be refused campus housing and class registration. Complete the on-line health form before you travel (go to your ASIST account and click "General Information") and bring your medical records with you.


Making Travel Arrangements to Lynchburg, VA

Airport, Bus Station, Train Station Pick Up & Transportation to Campus

Students needing transportation to campus from Lynchburg's airport, train station or bus station or the Roanoke airport must complete the online registration form at www.liberty.edu/transportation. If your travel plans change, please call the Transportation office at (434) 592-3640 to arrange for your new pick-up time. Reservations must be make 72 hours prior to the date of travel.
