Eric Brown enters his fourth year as a member of the Liberty athletics communications department and serves as the primary media contact for men’s basketball, women’s soccer and the athletics website, LibertyFlames.com.

Prior to joining the Office of Athletics Communications, Brown served as a promotional copywriter for Liberty’s university advancement office, producing content for Liberty Athletics, Ultimate LU club sports, the LaHaye Ice Center, the LaHaye Student Union, and the Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre, the university’s year-round synthetic ski park. He also served as the main sports news and feature writer for the university’s magazine, the Liberty Journal, and the university’s official website.

Brown is a 2008 graduate of Liberty University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in communication studies with a public relations and advertising emphasis. During his time as an undergraduate, he became familiar with Liberty Athletics while serving as the sports editor of the university’s student newspaper, the Liberty Champion, and completing his internship with athletics communications. As an intern, he was the acting sports information contact for the Liberty men’s and women’s tennis teams.

Brown completed his Master of Business Administration at Liberty in 2010, focusing primarily on the study of international business. He resides in his hometown of Rustburg, Va.
