The LaHaye Student Union centers offer social, recreational and fitness environments for Liberty University students and facility members. They offer different types of activities year-round in their facilities, which include:

Liberty's Intramural Sports Program is committed to providing intramural sports opportunities to the students, faculty, and staff of Liberty University. All registration is done through IMLeagues. Some sports include:

Recreational Facilities

Open to students year-round, Liberty's 3-D archery range spans 10 acres on Liberty Mountain. Home to the Liberty archery team, students can practice on 20 lifelike animal targets, as well as practice bag targets.

Camp Hydaway, located on Liberty Mountain, includes a student center, beach area, equipment outfitter, challenge course, ATV track, and campsites. Each area offers social and fitness environments for Liberty students, faculty & staff.

David's Place offers a great social and recreational environment for students. Located on East Campus, David's Place has a full service Jamba Juice, as well as a movie theater, outdoor pool, game room, flat screen televisions, and more.

Liberty's 18-hole disc golf course is located on East Campus. Used for intramural sports and open play, the course has two tees and basket locations at each hole.

The Equestrian Center provides opportunities for students to board personal horses, take riding lessons, and explore Liberty Mountain on horseback. The facility is located on the backside of Liberty Mountain.

A great spot for canoeing, swimming, or having a picnic. The 112-acre Ivy Lake is located 15 minutes from Liberty's campus and is used by the crew team.


LaHaye Ice Center is home to Liberty's hockey teams, as well as the synchronized and figuring skating teams. Students can enjoy ice skating, hockey, broomball, and rollerball when teams aren't practicing. The ice center also offers lessons in figure skating & on learning how to skate.

The Liberty Mountain Trail System boasts over 50 miles of single and double track trails for running and biking. Also ideal for hiking, Student Activities hosts six races each year through the Liberty Mountain Trail Series.

Located on Liberty's mountain property, Morris Campus Farm educates students on how to engage in earth stewardship through gardening and other enriching practices. The Campus Farm features small vegetable beds, fruit trees, a pond, chickens, compost bins, and more.

Students are able to utilize the motocross facility located on Lone Jack Road. Please visit the Campus Recreation office to sign a waiver and get more information.

The Paintball Battlefield is home to Liberty's paintball team. The complex consists of two fields with a retractable netting system. Visitors may watch safely from behind the netting during practices and events.

Eight sand volleyball courts are located on East Campus. Used for Intramural Sports and open play, the courts are home to the Liberty beach volleyball team and are lit for nighttime use.

Located behind Cici's Pizza in the Candler's Station Shopping Center, Liberty Mountain Skate Park has a half-pipe, rails, boxes, and an observation deck. The 8,600 sq. ft. park can be used for skateboarding, BMX biking, and rollerblading.

The Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre is the first artificial ski slope of its kind in North America. It offers year-round snowless skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. Free to students, it is home to the Liberty ski and snowboard team.
