Who do I see for evaluation of transcripts and awarding of transfer credit, including advanced standing?

How do I withdraw from courses?

How do I withdraw from the university?

Graduate resident students must go to the registrar window in the Student Service Center in Green Hall and complete an inquiry sheet. Graduate online students should contact the Online Academic Advisor by phone, (800) 424-9595, or email, luoadvising@liberty.edu.


Who do I see for grade appeals?

First, go to the Instructor with your request. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, then go to the program director or department chair. If the grievance is not resolved, you may appeal to the dean of the College/School. For the policy on Academic Honesty “FD” appeals, see the Liberty catalog.  


How do I receive an “I” (Incomplete grade) for a course?

The "I" or "Incomplete" grade is to be used only in the extremely rare cases, like medical emergencies, and must be approved by the director of the academic program. Resident Graduate students should go to the Student Service Center in Green Hall for directions. Graduate online students may work with both the Online Academic Advisor (luoadvising@liberty.edu) and the faculty member.


Who do I see for Independent Study/Directed Research courses?

Graduate resident students must go to the Student Service Center in Green Hall. Graduate online students can contact the Online Academic Advisor (luoadvising@liberty.edu).


How do I receive approval for a prerequisite override?

Graduate resident students can download the form on the Registrar-Online Forms webpage or pick one up at the Student Service Center in Green Hall. Graduate online students can contact the Online Academic Advisor by phone or email.


Who do I see for approval for semester course overload?

Graduate resident students must go to the Student Service Center; graduate online students must contact the Online Academic Advisor by phone or email (the advisor will work with the registrar to help gain approval).


Who do I see for registering for online courses?

Resident Graduate Students:

  • First semester resident graduate students who want to register for online courses must contact their Resident Academic Advisor, (877) 298-9617 or residentgraduate@liberty.edu.
  • Current resident graduate students must go to the Registrar’s Office in Green Hall to register manually.
