General parking registration opens at Noon on August 1.

Important Information

  • All parking permits, except for carpool, will be mailed.
    • Employees – intercampus mail
    • Commuter Students – Local Commuter Address listed in the Contact Info section of your myLU portal
    • Resident Students – your campus mailbox
    • Carpool – complete carpool application and bring to LUPD
  • Full enforcement and towing will begin Monday August 18.
  • Resident Students are permitted to park nearest their residence hall area; students under the age of 19 and who do not live at Residential Annex are only permitted to park in Askew, Gwin, East Satellite, and East Athletic Overflow parking lots.

Silent auction for Reber-Thomas parking garage and DeMoss Hall gated reserved spaces will be held July 28 – 11:59 PM July 31 (employees and commuter students only).  Employees and Commuter studentswill recieve an email with the Auction link.

  • You may only enter a bid for yourself; you may participate in both bids if you like.
  • All participants will be contacted via Liberty email with instructions for how to proceed stating the morning of Aug. 1.
  • Minimum bids are $520; and all bids under $520 will be rejected.
  • Duplicate entries will be deleted and entering multiple times will not improve the chance of winning.
  • If you win the bid, you are expected to accept the permit and your vehicle will not be eligible for another permit.  You will not be able to choose the specific spot that you are assigned; however participants with state-approved ADA permits will be moved to the best available ADA space upon contacting LUPD.
  • You understand that your permit will be assigned a specific parking space and that this space will be for your exclusive use on weekdays between 4 AM – 4 PM; all other times this space will be used for general or special event parking.
  • You understand that these permits do not grant you access to any other parking space or zone on weekdays between 4 AM – 4 PM.  Each reserved parking area will contain spaces for you to use in case your space is occupied by another vehicle.
  • For commuter students – your parking fee will be split equally between the fall and spring semesters
  • For employees – your parking fee will be deducted via payroll deduction in equal amounts on all pay periods occurring between September – April.
