2017 - 2018 Vehicle Registration

Fall Semester Information

Full enforcement and towing will begin:

Freshmen - Friday, August 25 / 4:00am

All Others - Monday, August 28 / 4:00am

All parking permits, except for carpool, will be mailed.

  • Employees – intra-campus mail
  • Commuter Students – Local Commuter Address listed in the Contact Info section of your myLU portal
  • Resident Students – your campus mailbox
  • Carpool – Students living in resident halls on campus are prohibited from participating in the carpool program.  A completed carpool application and all parties listed on the application will need to go to the LaHaye Recreation and Fitness Center on August 23-24 or on August 28-29 from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.  After August 29, please bring it to the LUPD Office located in Green Hall.
  • Once you have completed vehicle registration and requested your decal, you will receive a confirmation email. This email will serve as your temporary parking decal until your actual decal arrives. Print this email off and place it in your vehicles dashboard prior to parking on campus.  Pay careful attention to the expiration date on this email.  If you haven’t received your decal by the expiration date, it is the individual’s responsibility to go to LUPD and obtain a replacement decal.  Failure to receive your parking permit through the mail is not a valid reason for parking on campus without a permit.
  • Placing yourself on a waiting list for a specific parking decal does not exempt you from obtaining a parking permit from available inventory.
  • Resident Students that are Upper-classmen are permitted to park nearest their residence hall area. Please click the link below labelled On-campus Resident Parking Map for more information.
    • Residential students that are Freshmen will be provided parking and transportation from 2 Off-campus satellite parking lots.
      • FR1 – Fort Hill
      • FR2 – Residential Annex
      • See the Transit web site for more detailed schedule information.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to read and understand the traffic and parking regulations posted on the LUPD website and to also stay current with “splash page announcements” that may affect their parking status.
