ILRC Group and Presentation Rooms Policies
Group Study Room Policy
Available for student, faculty, and staff use
Reservations

Students may reserve a room up to one week in advance

Reserving group must consist of more than two people

Individuals who use and/or reserve group study rooms for less than three people may be asked to leave the room at the discretion of an ILRC employee.

Reservations must be made in person at the third floor service desk, or by calling (434) 592-4779

Group study rooms can be reserved for up to 3 hours a day

Reserved rooms that are not occupied by member(s) of the reserving group within 10 minutes after the beginning of the reservation period will be considered forfeited, and open for use by others
Room Regulations

Rooms that have not been previously reserved will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. If a group wishes to use a group study room that is not reserved, they must first come to the service desk and request to use an available room.

Rooms cannot be reserved or held by placing personal belongings in them. Unattended items will be removed and held at the Service Desk, sent to the Lost and Found, or picked up by LUPD

ILRC Code of Conduct must be followed

Windows should never be covered and doors should not be locked

Whiteboards must be cleaned before leaving the room

All trash from food must be placed in a trash can outside of the group room
Note: These rooms are to be used for academic and university related purposes only. Using the rooms for non-academic purposes, or repeated no-shows, may result in loss of privileges. ILRC employees will maintain an appropriate environment in these rooms and these rules will be enforced at their discretion.
Presentation Practice Room Policy
Presentation Practice Rooms are equipped with controls that are designed to replicate the display equipment that is available in the classrooms. These are primarily for use by people who need to practice individual or group presentations.
Reservations

Rooms are reserved in the same manner as the Group Study Rooms with the primary difference being that these rooms may only be reserved by people, or a person, needing to use the presentation equipment.

Other users will need to reserve a Group Study Room.

If a room has not been reserved, other groups may use the rooms on a first-come, first-serve basis.
