Liberty University’s Victory FM is now broadcasting in Virginia Beach, Va. at 98.3 FM, growing Liberty’s network of full-power stations and translators to more than 30 outlets.
Previously, Virginia Beach had been receiving signal from Victory FM in Elizabeth City, N.C. at 88.3. The new 98.3 translator greatly enhances the coverage area.
Victory FM has been reaching people through Christian music and Bible teaching programs since 1981. The station began to experience much growth after establishing translators in 2006. The coverage area now includes most of Virginia and a large portion of eastern North Carolina.
Jerry Edwards, general manager of Victory FM, said he is excited about the new opportunity in Virginia Beach.
“I am looking forward to hearing from many of our new listeners and thankful for the opportunity to serve them. I am looking forward to the long-term relationship for this new facility, Victory FM, and Liberty University.”
Victory FM is the flagship for the Flames Sports Network, providing coverage for Liberty University football and basketball. It also airs the Liberty Journal radio program Monday through Friday, reporting on news and events from the university.
