The first-ever Liberty University Polar Plunge took place on Saturday at Camp Hydaway on Liberty Mountain. The event was sponsored by Liberty University Athletics and Ultimate LU in partnership with Virginia Special Olympics to help raise funds to meet area needs within the Lynchburg Special Olympics Program.

Liberty University's Visual Communication Arts program opened an exhibit of nearly 100 works of art in the VCAR Studios and Gallery this week. The show features student artwork in the form of posters, identity packages, magazine covers, product illustrations, menus and more. The exhibit will be on display through Feb. 27.
