Step 3:
![]()
Left-click on the icon on your system tray that is shown above. A small menu should appear.
Step 4:

Select "Show Status Window."
Step 5:

Click on the button titled Find WLAN...
Step 6:

Click on the Yes button to turn on your wireless radio. This box may or may not appear depending on whether the radio is already activated.
Step 7:

Select your home wireless access point's name under the Network Name menu. It will NOT be labeled "LU_Wireless". An example of a potential label would be "linksys". Now click Connect.
If your wireless access point is not listed, then it is probably an issue with your home network.
The first step to try in troubleshooting is power down all of your network devices, such as your cable or DSL modem, router, and computer, then after a few minutes, turn them back on.
If this fails, you will need to call the manufacturer of your wireless access point or your Internet Service Provide. (Comcast, Verizon) for assistance. Liberty University cannot support your home network in any way. This means we will not be able to assist you in troubleshooting your cable or DSL modems, routers, switches, or computers.
Step 8:
Upon successful connection you should see the window above. It will close automatically. Now click the Close button on the Wireless Connection Status window. You should now be connected. Setup complete.
