The Teacher Licensure Program is designed to meet licensure requirements of the Commonwealth of Virginia in the teacher candidate's approved specialization. Liberty University has approval from the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia. The Teacher Licensure Program is accredited by NCATE (National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education) and has been officially approved by the Virginia Department of Education.

Graduates of Liberty University's teacher licensure programs are eligible for licensure within the Commonwealth of Virginia and in other states by reciprocal agreement. In addition to state licensure, candidates who complete the Teacher Licensure Program at Liberty University are eligible for the ACSI certificate (Association of Christian Schools International).
