The Center for Curriculum Development (CCD) is invested in partnering with faculty to provide a quality experience for students. In pursuit of this goal we offer online and residential Blackboard Workshops to all faculty members.

Course Descriptions

Setting Up Your Course: CCD 100

  • This course provides instruction on the basic tasks which must be performed to set up your LUO Blackboard course at the beginning of each term. 

Basic Blackboard Navigation: CCD 200

  • A basic overview of Blackboard–the menu, control panel, and layout of LUO courses.

SafeAssign, Direct Submit, & Student Point of View: CCD 300

  • Teaches interpretation of SafeAssign reports, the use of Direct Submit, and demonstrates the student's point of view within an LUO course.

Wrapping Up Your Course and Blackboard Q&A: CCD 400

  • This course demonstrations the actions faculty need to take to close out their courses. The end of this session will be an open Q&A for Blackboard questions. 

Blackboard Grading Tools and Grade Center: CCD 500

  • Covers the Blackboard Grading Tools which make interacting with and grading assignments easier. It also details the use of the Grade Center. 

Blackboard Troubleshooting, Known Issues, and Workarounds: CCD 600

  • Teaches faculty how to troubleshoot issues within their LUO courses, implement workarounds, and stay abreast of existing and new known issues within Blackboard.
