Requirements

  • $50 application fee (waived for current Liberty students and Alumni, please complete paper application)
  • Official college transcripts
  • Self-Certification Form (for students in the final term of their bachelor's degree)
  • Prerequisites: 18-30 UG credit hours in history (lower or upper-level hours); it is preferred that the student has 30 prerequisite credit hours
  • Regionally or nationally accredited bachelor’s degree with at least a 3.0 GPA for admission in good standing. (Probation on a case-by-case basis)
  • 300-500 word Statement of Purpose - The Statement of Purpose should include your goals for your intended academic program, as well as, an explanation of what you hope to gain from and contribute to the program.
  • Two Faculty Letters of Recommendation are required (must be on University or Company letterhead with a signature)
  • 10-12 page research paper in the Turabian (Chicago Manual) format
  • GRE: The applicant must have a minimum score of 155 in the verbal and quantitative sections and 3.5 in the analytical writing section of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
  • Current Liberty undergraduate applicants must complete Graduation Application.
