EFFECTIVE MAY 6, 2008 the option to receive a refund in the form of a paper check will no longer be available. When activating the Liberty OneCard the following options will appear on the Higher One website. The student will have two choices:
1. EASY REFUND-OPEN THE ONEACCOUNT: The OneAccount is an FDIC insured checking account with no minimum balance and no monthly fees. The Liberty OneCard serves as your bank (DEBIT) card for the OneAccount and can be used anywhere MasterCard is accepted. Your funds will be available to you within one business day after being released by the university.
2. ACH TRANSFER (To other bank): Your funds will be electronically deposited into your existing bank account. When activating your Liberty OneCard you will be prompted to complete a form to provide Higher One the account and routing number to complete the transaction. The form can be sent via US mail or fax. Your funds will be available in three to five business days after being released by the university.
For those students who haD the paper check option on file with Higher One prior to the change will continue to receive their refund in the form of a paper check.
