God has provided me with 20 years of varied teaching experience from kindergarten to adults---private, Christian and public schools/colleges.

I grew up in a Southern Baptist Church in Tidewater, Virginia where my family attended and my great-grandfather had been a charter member.  My father was a peanut farmer and I grew up on a farm which has been in the family for nearly 100 years.  It was during those years that I developed a strong tie to God’s earth and the life it brings.

Family is very important to me.  I have two daughters, Dr. Angela Olmsted, who teaches at Liberty in the School of Nursing and Mrs. Lorrie Brooks, who teaches at LCA online. God has also blessed me with six grandchildren.

I know God brought me to Liberty (2004) without any doubt and I am honored to teach at God’s University and have the opportunity to share what He has done in my life and hopefully help mold lives for His service!
